The Beginning

Since arriving at Trinity I have felt I was home again.  Everyone here is so friendly and helpful. Upon my arrival I knew that I was going to have to crack down on the schoolwork and compete for a spot on the baseball team.  The Trinity baseball program has grown over the years and is a very powerful commanding team. The team is strongly disciplined and has a history of great success, while developing professional baseball players. With a great recruiting class this season consisting of 14 freshmen, I knew there was going to be a tremendous amount of competition and hard work. Right off the bat we got down to work with our lifting program. We started the lifting program over the summer to get a jump-start before we arrived at trinity, so in September we weren’t behind the upper classman. To keep up our great success our program follows a strict intense workout as well as a healthy diet.  To follow our daily workouts and team updates you can check out our baseball blog "Team Blog".

Recently this month I had surgery on my leg and, as a result, I cannot lift, run, hit, or throw. This is going to throw me back from the other freshman trying to compete for a spot on the team. These next two months I’m going to face the biggest challenge with trying to impress the coaches. When I’m healthy and able to play again I’m going to have to work twice as hard as everyone else. I can’t wait for fall ball to begin.
